 Hello, we are so pleased you stopped by for a visit. There are five founders of Proverbs Women and I will share a little about us. There is, of course, myself, my name is Gidget (Jet, JenDove or Hoyden on the Net). My nationality is heinz 57 so I never could quite understand all the hoopla about nationality differences? I could have a smiggin of African for all I know or care for that matter. I know I do have a tad bit of Indian from when the pilgrims landed. Yahoo, for Pocahontus! As to my personality I'd say that when I was young it was the "gypsy" part of me that was at the forefront! Wild, unruly, rebellious, determined, full of energy. I've slowed down a little over the years! God has always amazed me, can you picture the union of a "gypsy" with a Viking? Yep, that is what I married clear down to the "movie version" of a Viking. Drinking, carousing and pulling their women around by their hair. Which, doesn't go over well with a kicking and biting gypsy! Somehow we managed to beget 4 children. I'm now the proud grandmother of 14 grandchildren. My interests are wide ranging, the Bible (King James Version), people, herbs and medicine, factual history, Reading, Swimming, Writing, Poetry, computer technology, building and designing web sites and teaching the young. Although I adore people I am somewhat stand-offish, due to my childhood and I have no trust in humans. I tend to study them before I take the plunge but when I do I'm very talkative and highly opinionated. I learned long ago that I was not the only one, most shy and stand-offish people long for friendship but are "afraid" because they've been hurt and rejected too often.
 Meet, Muti, this online name was given to Muti by her daughter (Buzzi) and Muti is also Inquiz on the Net. Inquiz fits her to a "t", she is the most inquizative person I've ever met. The only question she hasn't asked me is "Why is there air"? Humm, maybe she has a good answer to that I'll have to ask her. Her interests are the Bible, Archaeology, History, Biblical History and prophesy, dancing, PSP, gardening, herbs and crafts. When she was young she traveled A LOT. Her family seldom stayed anywhere for an entire year. Her mom was a born missionary and took her family hither and thither, witnessing everywhere she went. Muti married and started a family at a very young age. They have two children, a boy and a girl. She also has 2 dogs and 2 cats, her husband has tried, over the years, to bring home every "homeless" pet he's found. Her kids are grown but she still has the husband and pets to care for and her house. Now our Muti is definately into "HOME". She cleans continuously. As a matter-of-fact many people don't understand her preoccupation with her "home". Actually, it comes from never having one to call her own as a child. She has a wonderful personality, gentle, quiet and understanding.
 Our DuckyDee got this name from her family when she was a child. She is married has 3 children plus she mothers all her nieces, nephews, and friend's children. She is a woman of strength. Her interests are the Bible, raising children unto the Lord, welfare advocacy and law, reading, skating, swimming, sewing, and computer techology (Which she took to like a duck takes to water). I don't know where she finds the time! She is almost always up beat and joyful. If you need a friend to stand by you through thick and thin and even take a couple swings at the enemy then DuckyDee is definately the friend your looking for. Explosive personality, full of the love of life and of the Lord.
 JadeDove got this handle from her mother and is also known on the Web as "Georgi" her husbands pet name for her. They have 5 children and a foster child. A family to behold. Needless to say she has NO time, what's time? Praise God for washing machines or this girl would never see daylight! She goes through washers faster than she does drinking glasses. She was a born mother so it is not surprising that the Lord would give them a quiver full. JadeDoves interests are the Bible, raising her kids up in the Lord, PSP, aquariums, reading, cooking (your surprised, right?), she makes candy that is just fantastic. She is an avid movie watcher, well, I think she watches them. She probably just collapses in front of them with her eyes open. JadeDove, like Muti, is a gentle, quiet and understanding personality. If you want the last morsel of food in their cabinets, it's yours.
Last but not least is our Mayomay, this handle was created out of her middle name "May". She is the youngest of our group. She is married and has 2 children, a boy and a girl. Her interests are the Bible, her family, swimming, reading, also a movie buff, her computer, PSP and people. A woman of strength and has 2 great goals in life, to serve God and raise her children up in the Lord. One of her greatest qualities is her ability to forgive quickly and easily. She was the only girl in a family of boys. She is out going, friendly, helpful, very loving and has a great sense of humor. She has a quiet, gentle and understanding spirit and is very attentive to the Lord.
We are all stay at home mothers who do not want to entrust the raising of our children to strangers. And all our husbands agree. Their attitude is, "if I can't support my family without your help then I shouldn't have gotten married". The Proverbs Women believe that if we agreed to become wives and mothers then our place is in the home. Our first love is the Lord and in obedience to Him we see to it that our children are raised up in Him. We all aspire to be Virtuous Women and desire to be all we can be for our families and the Lord.
To be there for all women in need of edification, for the strong woman who is tired of being "strong", the hurting woman who can't find comfort, the joyful woman who wants to share her joy. Any and all women from every walk of life who want or need a sister, we are here.
